Are you frustrated with the state of education in our city? Do you spend your prep period thinking of ways to educate and empower your colleagues? Have you been dreaming up actions to demonstrate the power and passion of Philly's hard-working educators and communities?
If so, help us build the movement to defend and transform public education at our June Citywide Meeting! We will be breaking out into action committees, putting in the work of planning actions and next steps that will allow us to stand up for educators, students, and public education in Philadelphia.
Please join us to contribute your ideas, strengths, and passions. You can pick one (or two, or seven!) committees or campaigns to get involved with, or suggest your own. Some of the committees and campaigns that we will be working on next Tuesday are:
Committees:
-Outreach and Membership
-Political Involvement
-Messaging and Communications
-Parent Organizing
-Governance and Structure
Campaigns:
-Sound the Alarm
-Local School Control
-Budget/Debt Service
-Summer Reading Series
-School Transformations and Closings
-SRC Presence
-Suggest your own!
